Irène Laub Gallery is glad to begin 2021 with a group show entitled "The intimate consciousness of time". Each in their own way, the exhibited artists use temporality and time as an integral part of their creative process or as a perception mechanism.
Stijn Cole captures the changing light and color of a same point of view through “timescapes” while Gauthier Hubert uses time as a performative device. Athina Ioannou initiates a progressive transfiguration of her chosen materials, Gudny Rosa Ingimarsdottir recycles fragments of her own work and uses recurring patterns through the years. Guillermo Mora hides time-capsules in his compositions and, lastly, Bernard Villers uses the movement of light as a perception device in his series “Iris descend”.
