YVONNE MELISSA, BORI MALIY, ATHINA ANAGNOSTOU
The Sousouro Collective is based in the Netherlands and focuses on Kafe Aman Rebetiko, the urban folk music of Greece, arrived from the coast of Asia Minor. With a blend of traditional sounds and modern influences, the collective aims to revisit the themes of love, lost and revolution as they resonate with today’s society, with known and unknown tunes from the 1920s to the 1950s. Featuring three members, each bringing their unique musical backgrounds and experiences.
