Alison Yip was born in Calgary, Canada and currently lives and works in Belgium and the Netherlands. She works through painting, wall treatments and sometimes writing and sculpture. Utilizing decorative elements and charging everyday objects with unabashed animism, her work evokes the banal sites of uncanny and transitional states, moving playfully through various styles of representation and pictorial modes. alisonyip.blogspot.com Her predecessors in creating works for the wall are Jóhanna Kristbjörg Sigurðardóttur, Fiona Mackay, Julien Meert, Denie Put, Nel Aerts, Atelier Pica Pica, Michaël Van den Abeele, Helgi Thórsson, Carlotta Bailly-Borg & Bert Huyghe.
