Interested in art from childhood, the Hainaut-based artist Émelyne Duval (Lobbes, 1987) enrolled at age 12 in workshops at the Académie des
Beaux-Arts de Binche. Then, in 2005, she began her higher education studies in graphic and visual communication. During her five years of study, she developed an interest in collage and its history, as well as the world of books. Her work is based on the gathering of images. She collects “treasures”: objects, papers, strings, pebbles, etc.
