Instructors: Santiago Cárdenas and Camila Valdiviezo
This workshop offers a parallel introduction to flamenco dance and flamenco guitar, designed as a shared and collaborative experience between musicians and dancers.
Two groups will work simultaneously:
• Flamenco dance (open to all, no previous experience required)
• Flamenco guitar (for guitarists with basic playing skills)
The focus of the workshop will be the flamenco style Tientos–Tangos, exploring its rhythm, structure, character, and expressive qualities.
Each group will have moments of independent practice, dedicated to the essential tools of their discipline:
• Dancers will work on basic flamenco movements, body posture, footwork, arms, intention, and character.
• Guitarists will work on compás, rhythm, basic accompaniment patterns, and listening skills.
At key moments, both groups will come together in collaborative sessions, learning how dance, guitar, and live singing (cante) interact in flamenco. Participants will experience flamenco as a living conversation, where music and movement shape each other in real time.
This workshop is an invitation to discover flamenco from the inside: its structure, its emotion, and its collective energy.
Participation 1 day( 2 hours) 30E, 2 days ( 4 hours) 50E.
