« Auncle Bolingo is the Founder of Queer Auncles, which is a queer initiative helping queer Black and POC get together and build community in Brussels. Besides building community, they’re also a multidisciplinary artist who started out as a DJ and producing music, later on became a Ballroom MC, and they recently also became a
full fledged cultural curator. Bolingo’s identity speaks for itself; it is unapologetically black and queer. “Bolingo' means “love” in their mother tongue, and when they get on stage, that is also the main message that they try to convey. This can be through a plethora of “feel good” music, amazing and cocky raps and freestyles, community based events, etc.»
